Khalife is a former soldier charged with terror offenses

A nationwide manhunt has been launched for Daniel Khalife, a former soldier suspected of terror offenses who escaped from Wandsworth prison. Khalife, 21, was awaiting trial when he fled the prison on Wednesday.

Khalife is charged with preparing acts of terrorism, including plotting to kill British soldiers. He was arrested in April 2020 and has been in custody ever since.

The Metropolitan Police said Khalife is "a dangerous individual" and urged the public to be vigilant. They have released a number of images of Khalife and are asking for anyone who sees him to contact the police.

Khalife is described as being of Middle Eastern appearance, around 5ft 8in tall, with a slim build. He has short black hair and brown eyes.
